my name’s mathias and I’m an 18 year old disabled trans poc and for 5 years I’ve lived with my abusive mom after she fought for custody over me in court following my parents divorce. and now I have to get out in 30 days.
in these five years my mother has been controlling and emotionally abusive to a massive extent, going so far as to add herself as a secondary holder on my bank account to see my activity; controlling my food intake; not buying me clothes when I need them; restricting where I go, who I see and when; not allowing me to get a job or a car and forcing me to stay home and clean her house for her.
last night (February 5, 2017) after an argument got heated and she physically assaulted me, I had enough. I’ve covered for her and lied to social workers about her physical abuse in the past because she guilt tripped me over my youngest sister.
a close friend of mine called the police for me, and when the cops finally showed up, and she manipulated the story so it seems like I picked the fight and I drove her to hitting me, like it was her only resort. this is not the case, but I digress.
I have been given thirty days to get out of a home in which I have lived for nine years.

My SO and I are both medically ill poc without income. We are trying to get him disability and I am going to start work in March, but he has some big medical bills from mental health treatment that need to be paid! One bill alone is over $2,000. We are negotiating with the institution to try to break that specific bill up into smaller payments over several months, but we are still going to need to pay before March and there are other overdue bills that also need to be paid off. I also have bills for student debt that I need to pay monthly. I am also looking for other temp job opportunities for the time being but am not having any luck so far.
I am willing to read for any subject or question (except those I would need to be a doctor for, or any involving a person’s future death, or similar matters that would be irresponsible of me to read for) and any size spread! Literally every little bit helps!

Four years ago, a fall down a defective sstaircase left me completely confined to bed for life, requiring 24 hour care I cannot afford. [Medical reports]. Without compensation for healthcare, my existing deterioration would accelerate and at the age of 22, I am terrified of having a fraction of a normal life expectancy (see ”read more” for details).
The rest of my life will be decided at a court hearing to determine if I can sue for compensation despite the length of time since the accident. [Court docs]. Success at this hearing absolutely requires a barrister. This increases my legal costs to almost $10,000 that must be raised within 20 days, incl. $2,449 by tomorrow. Without this, I CANNOT continue my claim, so I DESPERATELY need your help.

In the last few days, we noticed that Max (our 15 month old Boxer/Rhodesian mix) had a runny nose and he felt a bit warmer than usual. Thinking it was allergies, we kept wiping his nose and waited. But this morning he was breathing hard and we rushed him to the vet’s office.
Max has pneumonia. The vet stressed to us that this might be fatal. We don’t know yet if it is viral or bacterial. If it’s bacterial, his cocktail of antibiotics will help him. If it’s viral, all we can do is hope and pray that he can survive it.
The vet bill of this morning was $505 and we had to split the cost among 3 people, the next 6 weeks of medication will cost $1,080 (3 different antibiotics), and the x rays will cost a minumum of $160. Hopefully we will not need to put him into intensive care or we will have to raise the GoFundMe’s goal.
